NYON, Switzerland. April 29 (PSN) – Moldavia, Slovakia, Denmark and Sweden are the Poland Women’s National Team rivals for UEFA Womens EURO 2017 Qualifying.
The draw for the qualifying group matches was once again held in Nyon, Switzerland.
Sweden remain favorites in the group, featuring a very strong team on both paper and the on pitch.
Both matches against Poland in previous qualifiers had the Swedes winning 2:0 at home and later 4:0 away.
Another difficult rival will be Denmark, who occupy 15th place in the FIFA World rankings. While they did very poorly in the 2015 FIFA World Cup qualifiers they will nonetheless have high expectations for the UEFA EURO qualifiers.
Poland will also play with Slovakia (46th place in the FIFA rankings), which we are a well known opponent. The bialo-czerwoni defeated the Slovaks 2:0 in the final of the 2015 Istria Womens Cup exhibition tournament last month.
Moldavia remain as the most exotic rival that the Polki will play. They currently sit at 138th in the FIFA World Women rankings.
